The Team

NCSA’s Recruiting Sales team is designed to produce top performing sales professionals responsible for conducting recruiting assessments with potential NCSA members over the phone. The sports sales team is charged with identifying qualified college prospects for college coaches nationwide. Our team is filled with self-motivated, driven team members who enjoy consultative selling to provide families the help they need with the college athletic recruiting process. Successful team members are competitive, goal-oriented, entrepreneurial, passionate about sales and sports, but most importantly, passionate about giving back and changing student-athletes’ lives daily.

  • The ability to work remotely and meet with families virtually via phone or video conferencing

Job Function

We are currently looking for self-motivated and driven individuals that would like to join a highly successful and growing sales organization that values continued education and training.  Candidates for the Inside Sales Representative should have exceptional phone communication skills, strong listening skills, competitive nature, and be excited about sales.

NCSA generates over 50,000 collegiate prospects on a monthly basis and this role is responsible for initially following up with the parents of those prospects over the phone.  The goal of the phone call is to help determine which prospects are committed to pursuing their athletic interests at the next level.

The goal if the Inside Sales Representative is to set appointments for our senior teammates to discuss the recruiting situation and determine if NCSA is the right resource for the family.

The Team:

Recruiting Coordinator Assistants are invaluable members of our sales team at NCSA and are responsible for identifying potential college prospects for our team of Scouts and ultimately, for college coaches. They are the first touch point for parents of student-athletes who have reached out to NCSA wanting to learn more about how we can assist them through the recruiting process and connect them with college programs across the country.

Recruiting Coordinator Assistants are responsible for calling a potential prospect’s parents or guardians. During this 5-15 minute phone call, their goals are to: 1) verify the parent/guardian knows their son/daughter has reached out to NCSA, 2) confirm they are aware of their son/daughter’s desire to compete at the next level, 3) educate them on NCSA and finally, 4) start the evaluation process, verifying the prospect is both academically and athletically qualified to compete at any collegiate level.

Essential Functions

  • Manage a “recruiting list” of potential college prospects to identify those who might have the ability to compete collegiately
  • Conduct personalized phone assessments with parents of student-athletes
  • Ask parents questions to uncover the family’s recruiting needs; educate them on the recruiting process and the importance of being evaluated by a third party like NCSA
  • Guide parents to the next step in NCSA’s recruiting process
  • Document outcomes of each conversation
  • Exceed 3 hours of talk time with parents and/or 60-80 outbound dials per day
  • Use analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Create a memorable experience for every family who engages with NCSA
  • Connect with families over the phone throughout various stages of NCSA’s recruiting process, including but not limited to welcoming new clients to the network.

  • Successfully complete NCSA’s Assistant Scout training course and actively participate in continued education and training opportunities to stay up to date with NCAA/NAIA rules and regulations as well as NCSA’s conceptual selling techniques

The Team

NCSA's sales team is designed to develop top performing sales professionals through NCSA’s training and Career Development Program.  At NCSA, our "Inside Sales" teammates are called "Recruiting Coordinators", and are the first point of contact for our families and potential members.   • Evaluate student-athletes through online research and over the phone
  • Educate parents on the benefits of utilizing NCSA's recruiting network
  • Utilize conceptual selling techniques learned during training
  • Reach out to warm leads given to you by our marketing team through phone calls and emails
  • A desire to grow and develop in a sports sales team
